Deep Fried Taro Fishes.
Easy to make. Tasty to eat.
INGREDIENTS:
1 taro
1/4 cup corn starch
2 tsp salt
2-4 tbsp water
sweet and sour sauce
1 cup oil
1/2 cup flour
DIRECTIONS:
1. Boil the taro in a pot of water till softens
2. In a large bowl, mash the taro till smooth
3. Add in corn starch, salt and water and mix thoroughly till sticky (add more corn starch if it’s not sticky)
4. Make into a flat ball (or if you have a mold you can use a mold.. cookie molds work too! make sure it’s not too thick) and sprinkle a bit of flour over it
5. In a pan, heat up the oil to medium heat, and fry the taro until golden brown
6. Serve with sweet and sour sauce
This is very fun to make.. kind of like cookies, except you fry them instead of bake them! And if you don’t like eating taro just by itself, this is the dish to go for!
